2015 FAI European Championship for Space Models. The Chronicles. Part 2.

The 2015 FAI European Championships for Space Models was full of exciting innovations. The online scoring system Cup Navigator, designed by Noosphere specialists proved itself as a world class technology throughout the competition. It helped spectators watch the high-powered launches in real time as well as allowed organizers to broadcast videos of the flights and post the competition results on the big screen located in the entertainment area.

It was also a big helper of judges and secretary. Being designed by Noosphere, Cup Navigator allows to manage all the basic information about the team, provides access to the results history of each athlete for the last years, individually, and, what is especially valuable, allows to observe the results of the competition online, eliminating errors and unfair refereeing.

The online system fully earned at the Ukrainian Championships for Space Models 2015, in June. Cup Navigator proved its effeciency at the national level, greatly simplifying secretary’s work. Applications of more than fifty participants have been quickly processed. During two competition days the protocols have been ready instanly. And everyone could observe the results right at the airfield by their tablets.

After several weeks of hard work to improve Cup Navigator, it was absolutely ready for the European Championships. It brilliatly managed much more information. The first presentation of the system took place in the FAI headquarters in Lausanne (Switzerland), at the end of December 2014. FAI experts had already praised it. Now they wait for the similar services for other FAI disciplines.
