The 2019 sports season starts early!

On February 6, 2019, a press conference devoted to space modeling sports, our achievements and plans for future, took place in Dnipro. The speakers were the President of the Federation Ihor Volkanov, the champions and prizewinners of national and international competitions Mykola Pushkar, Ihor Hladkyi and Rodion Struzman.

It was interesting to evoke the successes and victories… Since 2013, our Federation reached a new stage of development. Thanks to support of Noosphere, we annually participate in the World and European Championships, arrange various competitions in Ukraine. For the period of successful cooperation with Noosphere, the national team of Ukraine has won 65 medals, including 25 gold medals, at the World and European Championships.

Jointly, we have organized the best championships in the history of the world space modelling: the 2015 European Championship and 2016 World Championship. We are happy that Ukraine has  Noosphere, which cares about the future of our youth and nation!

However, it is only a beginning! The 2019 sports season for Ukrainian athletes will start as early as March — in the U.S. On March 8-9, as a part of SXSW, which annually takes place in Austin, Texas, the first-ever match encounter of national teams for space models of Ukraine and the U.S. – Firefly International Rocket Event (FIRE) – will be held.

Then we take a little break, and on May 11 we gather in Dnepr at Ukraine Rocketry Challenge 2019, where the teams will compete for the prize fund of 100,000 UAH and an opportunity to visit the international final of International Rocketry Challenge that will be held in Paris during the Paris Air Show!!!

Further the Yangel Cup (June 28-30) and the European Championship (August 21-31), and many stages of the Cup of Ukraine and other events are upcoming. You can find all the competitions, scheduled for 2019, in the section “Competitions”.
